The company is looking for around 10-15 acres of greenfield land to construct a vertical farm. They are interested in the Southwest and Southeast region of the U.S and are looking for a rural area within reasonable distance to a populated city where they can pull talent from. At the facility, the company will be farming mealworms and producing insect products that will go to pet foods and the farmed fish industry. The facility will require 100 highly skilled employees as the entire manufacturing unit is automated and requires staff from engineers, scientists, and other administrative roles. They plan to add additional employees yearly/ as needed. This is just the beginning of their expansion project across the US and will continue to add more farms as demand increases.
