Project Overview
Looking in the Southeast region of the US, but open to other options as they build their target location list. Initial interest in Florida, South Carolina, and Alabama. Seeking around 7 acres of land (includes parking space for employees). Will create 70 jobs. The building will be 270,000 sq ft. Plans are to construct three chambers inside the facility that can be altered by temperature, anywhere from minus 10 degrees up to 40 degrees. Using a Freon-based refrigeration system vs. ammonia-based systems. The facility could support various sectors, including grocers, meat processors and fruit/vegetable importers. Electric usage often ranges from 40 to 60 kilowatt-hours per square foot per year, with refrigeration accounting for more than 70 percent of overall electric usage. Will need 29 dock doors and two drive-in ramps.
